Mixed Metal & Found Objects
23” Tall x 22” Wide x 50” Long Each
130 pounds Each
Artist Fun Fact: This sculpture and the other 5 just like it (not photographed), were inspired by the ripper teeth I used as heads. I’ve used similar farm-equipment teeth many times for dog heads, but these were a little different. I thought they looked like vermin. The motors embedded in their bodies are electric wheelchair motors.
Vermin Friends
These six little fellows are made of mixed metal and found objects. Weighing about 130 pounds each, they stand about 2 feet tall, 2 feet wide and over 4 feet long. Vermin Friends are not canines, but close relatives and used to roam wild in a pack, much like their dog cousins. They don’t roam anymore, now that they found a home among the K-9 Warriors.

Welded Warriors is a traveling exhibit by artist Dale Lewis.
