Life Through the Art of Reclamation

Welded Warriors is a striking traveling exhibit featuring 14 sculptures created from recycled metal, scrap materials and found objects. Each piece embodies the spirit of resilience and creativity, transforming discarded industrial remnants into powerful canine forms.

At the heart of the collection are four K-9 Warriors—both male and female—crafted with intricate detail and commanding presence. Their heads, ingeniously shaped from old farm excavators, lend a rugged authenticity that bridges the mechanical and the organic.

The K-9 Queen Warrior stands as the regal centerpiece, exuding strength and authority, while Double Trouble, two 2-headed guard dogs, capture the imagination with their fierce symmetry and mythic energy.

Never Stop Pulling, a dynamic dog team and sled inspired by the Iditarod evoke motion and unity, their welded forms suggesting both endurance and loyalty.

Surrounding them are six Vermin Friends—creatures that, while not dogs, share the same sculptural language of rusted steel and salvaged texture, blurring the line between species and machine.

The exhibit’s heavy, weathered metal surfaces and raw craftsmanship create an atmosphere that feels both ancient and futuristic. The result is a world where time, decay, and imagination collide—an industrial mythology brought to life through the art of reclamation. Welded Warriors invites viewers to see beauty in the broken and strength in the salvaged, celebrating the artistry of transformation.
