Slim, the Elephant
Mixed Metal & Found Objects
9' Tall x 6' Wide x 15' Long
400 lbs

Artist’s Fun Fact: Slim is a life-sized elephant I made by wrapping strips of grey painted steel, salvaged from equipment door panels around a steel-rod armature. Slim’s ears are Direct TV satellite dishes. His tusks are Harley Davidson mufflers. All of this makes him a bit of a Junkaphant. Slim asks “Do these ears make my arse look big?”
Award Winner! Slim won the People’s Choice award in Salina, KS and was purchased by the city.

This sculpture was purchased by the city of Salina, KS,
and is on permanent public display.
