Artist’s Fun Fact:
This spider is made from found objects. It was inspired by the legs that came from a trampoline damaged in a storm. I displayed him at our local library. The librarians didn’t try to hide the fact that they would prefer to see anything else displayed. Two boys on their bikes thought it was the coolest thing ever and a small girl was stretching over a low wall to pet him. It amazes me how many adults have problems with spiders but it also amazes me that this little girl thought he was pettable.
This sculpture is for sale and available for lease.
